Product Details

This Raven Song Chain Necklace is made out of Sterling Silver and Amber by Northwest Coast Artist Chris Cook from the Kwakwaka'wakw Nation. The Ravens are hand-carved and signed.

Mischievous and curious, the Raven plays many important roles in Pacific Northwest Coast Culture. For some, he symbolizes creation, transformation, knowledge, prestige as well as the complexity of nature and the subtlety of truth. He also symbolizes the unknown and shows that every person sees the world in a different way.

Each Raven is about 2 inches or 5 centimeters long and 3/4 of an inch or close to 2 centimeters high. The amber piece set in a silver bezel setting in the center, is about 3/4 of an inch or 2 centimeters long and 1/2 an inch or close to 1.2 centimeters wide. The total length of the sterling silver and amber chain necklace is close to 18 1/2 inches or 47 centimeters.

The colours of the amber pieces can slightly differ from the ones in the image.
